Nocturnal Enuresis is termed the
involuntary loss of urine during the night sleep in
adults, or in children older than 5 years. Nocturnal
Enuresis is separated in two categories, Primary and
Secondary.

paraventricular cells of hypothalamus, resulting in
defective nightly excretion of antidiuretic hormone,
with psychological and heredity factors playing
additional role. Treatment consists of use of alarm
devices, antidiuretic hormone supplementation,
anticholinergic medication, and psychological
support of child and family.
B. Secondary
Nocturnal Enuresis,
as its mane implies, is the result of neurological,
psychiatry or endocrinologic disorder witch can be
obvious or concealed. The treatment lies in the
diagnosis and treatment of primary illness. |
